Xubin Aerospace qualifies under all five streams of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace

Qualification positions Xubin Aerospace to participate across the full scope of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace, spanning Counter-UAS, data systems, engineering, test and evaluation, and defence innovation activities.

Xubin Aerospace is pleased to announce that it has successfully qualified under all five streams of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative (DDI) Marketplace.

The DDI Marketplace is a Government of Canada procurement framework designed to establish a qualified supplier base capable of supporting future Canadian Armed Forces requirements related to uncrewed systems, Counter-UAS capabilities, engineering and integration services, testing and evaluation activities, and defence innovation initiatives.

Following an initial qualification under Stream 1, Xubin Aerospace has now been notified that it has also qualified under Streams 2, 3, 4, and 5, resulting in qualification across the full DDI Marketplace structure.

The five streams cover:

• Stream 1 – Uncrewed Systems and Counter-Uncrewed Systems

• Stream 2 – Command, Control, Communications, Data, Electronic Warfare and Cyber Systems

• Stream 3 – Integration, Interoperability and Engineering Services

• Stream 4 – Test, Evaluation and Training

• Stream 5 – Innovation and Experimentation

Qualification under all five streams reflects the breadth of Xubin's current capabilities and development activities around Eagle Vision™, the company's passive airspace awareness and Counter-UAS sensing platform.

The qualification was supported by demonstrated work performed through Eagle Vision™ development and participation in IDEaS Counter-UAS Sandbox 2025, where Xubin participated in a government-observed Counter-UAS technology evaluation activity.

“Qualification under all five DDI Marketplace streams is an important milestone for Xubin Aerospace,” said Mostafa Najafiyazdi, CEO and Co-Founder of Xubin Aerospace. “It reinforces the relevance of our technology and validates our ability to contribute across multiple areas of the defence ecosystem, from sensing and operational data generation to engineering, testing, and innovation activities. We look forward to continuing to work with defence stakeholders as we advance Eagle Vision™ toward operational deployment.”

The qualification does not constitute a contract award. Rather, it establishes Xubin Aerospace as a qualified supplier within the DDI Marketplace and enables participation in future opportunities issued under the applicable streams.

Eagle Vision™ participates in DND IDEaS CUAS Sandbox 2025

Selected for Canada's first-of-its-kind urban Counter-UAS Sandbox run by the Department of National Defence.

Xubin Aerospace was selected to participate in the 2025 IDEaS Counter-UAS Sandbox, hosted by Canada's Department of National Defence — the first urban-focused CUAS Sandbox of its kind.

Eagle Vision™ was exercised against representative drone threats in complex urban airspace, alongside a curated set of Canadian and international CUAS technologies, and evaluated by defence stakeholders under realistic operating conditions.

The Sandbox provided direct operator feedback and validated aerodynamic-signature detection as a complementary sensing layer for cluttered urban environments where radar and RF are constrained.
